Here I am playing a modified Harley Benton TE-80 NT Deluxe on Lizzo's About Damn Time.
I have modified the guitar:
- I replaced the tuners with decent Gotoh tuners
- A guitar luthier Marcus Guitars set up the guitar (fret set up and overall guitar setup)
- I replaced the bridge pickup by a Coda Custom tele bridge pickup as I found the stock one too bright and underpowered.
- The guitar luthier also shielded everything inside and replace the pots with great USA pots.
Is it for the money a great guitar? Yes.
Would I recommend it ? No, I would save an extra cash and shop in the upper range of the Harley Benton series as they contain better hardware.
The big reason why I would not recommend this guitar is that the body weight is very heavy which makes it for live playing quite hard. And the investment of upgrading the guitar, I would spend all together on a higher series of Harley Benton.
